#7 Camps Bay Beach
Camps Bay Beach is the pristine stretch of palm tree-lined white sand bordering the icy waters of the Atlantic ocean - also the playground of the rich and famous. Set at the foot of a spectacular series of mountain peaks, the Twelve Apostles, it is arguably Cape Town's best known beach. In season, this is the place to mingle with the beautiful people - Cape Town being a popular modeling and film destination during summer, they are abundant.
The "Camps Bay Strip" is about one kilometer of beachfront restaurants, bars, and clubs - the area is a favourite sundowners spot as the sun sets over the ocean.
Tip:It is not a sheltered beach, so if the wind is blowing Clifton is a better bet - it is 5 minutes towards Cape Town from Camps Bay on the coastal road.
