Cape Point Nature Reserve is one of the finest examples of pristine Fynbos, apart from the spectacular scenery...

This photo is a NASA landsat photo of the Cape Peninsula. On the left of the photo, the small bay is Table Bay and the island in the middle of the bay is Robben Island. The large bay to the right of the pic is False Bay, named because it deceived many sailors in the early days, who mistook it for Table Bay! Cape Point is to the bottom right of the photo..

The ultra-modern Arabella Sheraton Hotel in the Cape Town CBD is an excellent place to stay if you are visiting the Mother City on business, or even for tourists. It's situated on the foreshore, within striking distance of the V&A Waterfront, Long Street, Camps Bay and Clifton Beaches, and Greenmarket Square. From the hotel there are excellent views of the harbour and Table Bay on the one side, and the City and Table Mountain on the other. Tough choice..

Although Greenmarket Square in the CBD has historically been THE place for tourists shop for souveneirs, some say that the dusty market of Green Point, which is situated next to the Greenpoint Stadium and happens each Sunday, offers better deals and more choice. I would have to agree with this opinion, as it is a much bigger market and offers more choice. There are crafts, clothing, ornaments (big and small) and gift ideas from all over Africa.

I took this photo from the balcony of News Cafe in Table View, a suburb on the other the Table Bay coastline. Table Bay has a good restaurant 'strip' .. a few kilometers of restaurants and bars, all with the most excellent view of Table Mountain and Table Bay! This is a great place for sundowners and world-class kite-surfing venue.
